Submit / Update abstract(s)
Sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Dayton Section, the symposium is designed to facilitate communication between members of the regional technical community, as well as to provide a forum for students (K-12, undergraduate, and graduate), engineers, scientist and researchers to present their work. The symposium program includes several parallel sessions in the morning and afternoon, a luncheon and keynote address, sponsor exhibits, and poster session.
To submit an abstract, you must first create an account by clicking the "Register for the symposium" button in the panel on the right. Note, even if you participated at a previous DESS, you must create a "new" account for this years event. Once you have created an account, login into it using the panel on the right. You will see a button labeled "Submit New Abstract" near the bottom of your registration account page. Once you have submitted an abstract, you'll see it appear on the registration account page, along with options to modify and delete it in the future. For those waiting on Public Release approval, please submit a place holder with a general title (so your presentation can be placed in an appropriate session) and include "waiting for public release" or similar wording for the abstract body. If you require assistance with creating an account or submitting/modifying/deleting an abstract, please contact Tim Leger leger.2@wright.edu.
